Crime Stoppers USA Commemorates National Crime Victims’ Rights Week
Crime Stoppers USA will join communities nationwide in observing National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, celebrating victims’ rights, protections and services throughout the week. This year’s observance takes place April 18-24, 2021.
“More than two million Americans suffer the pain and distress of criminal victimization every year,” said Barb Bergin, President of Crime Stoppers USA. “Seeking justice for these victims of crime is one of the main motivations of our organization.”
More than 300 independent Crime Stoppers programs throughout America are members of Crime Stoppers USA. People provide anonymous tips on the whereabouts of wanted felons to Crime Stoppers. They often receive a cash reward for their tips. Crime Stopper tips have resulted in more than one million arrests. These arrests provide an important sense of justice to victims.
